Words With Love, an on-going project by women who have come together to engage voice, activism, and heart in the form of greeting cards.

On Valentine’s Day 2015, Blonde Art Books along with Chapter NY and Molasses Books launched Cara Benedetto’s romance novel The Coming of Age. Recently Cara and BABS have started working on a series of collaborations. In our proposals for these forthcoming projects, Cara states “Erotica in the arts is trending up and we’re happy about it, because women’s bodies are again under attack by the state. It is a critical time to collectively work against government-sanctioned violence by articulating women’s desire through art and speech.
Women have written their desire through history. Women are the writers, readers, and consumers of the romance industry. It is one of the very few genres that examples an economy of between women support networks. It is related and in parallel to various movements within the arts that engaged poetry, writing, text and activism.”
Words With Love is a collaboration between artist Cara Benedetto, Small Editions, and Blonde Art Books.
Each set includes artwork and writing by six different artists. The sets are risograph printed in a set of 6 notecards with matching envelopes in an edition of 100.
