On Friday, June 28th, we teamed up with artist-run photobook gallery and project space, Spaces Corners and Encyclopedia Destructica, a community-based artist book publisher to present the fifth event as part of the Blonde Art Books Summer Tour at The Mattress Factory in Pittsburgh.
The main lobby of the museum was the perfect setting for a gathering of some of the most interesting writers, artists, and book-makers in Pittsburgh. Throughout the 3-hour event guests shared their experiences with self-publication and learned about new local opportunities. Additionally, the museum generously provided the opportunity to visit the museum galleries free of cost throughout the Blonde Art Books event.
Blonde Art Books met so many amazing people that day and we picked up some beautiful books by Daniel McClosky (Cyberpunk Apocalypse), Ed Panar (Spaces Corners), Jasdeep Khaira (Encyclopedia Destructica), Max Wheeler, Nina Sarnelle, Jim Rugg, and Art Noose.
