Ultimate ‘Reading List’

Last week we visited the Lewis B. and Dorothy Cullman Education and Research Building at MoMA and spent some time with the exhibition Reading List: Artists’ Selections from the MoMA Library Collection organized by Rachael Morrison, Senior Library Assistant and Lori Salmon, Library Assistant, MoMA Library. Using responses from a questionnaire written by the exhibition’s organizers as a starting point,  the thoughtful presentation includes selections made by individual artists and presents them alongside “an explanation of why they chose the selected material and what it means within the context of their artistic practice.” For the full list of books and explanations please visit the exhibition site.
